Electrician - Trainee Position

Join our team as an Electrician Trainee!

As an Electrician Trainee, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and gain valuable hands-on experience by joining our esteemed organization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting routine preventative maintenance on mill electrical and electronic equipment.
• Repairing, modifying, and maintaining a diverse range of electrical and electronic tools and machinery.
• Engaging in tasks such as wiring circuits, replacing components, and fixing electronic devices.
• Performing diagnostic tests using various instruments, including multi-meters and Meggers.
• Attending technical training sessions to stay updated on equipment technology and modifications.
• Working a rotating shift schedule including nights, holidays, weekends, and potential overtime.
• Adhering strictly to safety protocols and completing all required training.
• Completing additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
• Understanding of electrical fundamentals.
• Knowledge of 3-phase and single-phase power distribution, motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with 480-volt power systems and logic circuits.
• Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics independently.
• Experience with machine control systems is a plus.
• Understanding of pneumatic and electronic controllers.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Readiness to respond to emergency call-ins when required.
• Team player dedicated to contributing to team success.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and cross-train as necessary.
• Consistent and predictable attendance.

Additional Skills That Will Make You Stand Out:

• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Ability to interpret PLC logic for troubleshooting applications.
