HDR is currently seeking an Electrical Intern to join our East Region Design Center in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC. This person will be an integral part of our team with an opportunity to work with talented staff, and to be a part of one of the fastest growing and most critical segments of HDR. This individual should be self-motivated and collaborative with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical designs.

In the role of Electrical Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Be responsible for creating electrical drawings for various types of facilities that fall under a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal.
• Support, coordinate, and work closely with multidiscipline design teams.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and design for layout plans and power one-line diagrams.
• Assist Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs or BIM Specialists as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Good proficiency with Revit
• Related field or office work experience
• Preference will be given to local candidates

• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
