ECC Veterinary Technician, Swing Shift

ECC Veterinary Technician Location: SAGE San Francisco
Schedule: Full-Time | 4/10 schedule | Swing Shift (2 pm 12 am, MonThurs)
Compensation: Up to $40/hour + $5.50/hr shift differential (6pm6am)
Hiring Bonus: Up to $7,000

Position Details: As a Veterinary Technician in the ECC department, you will be responsible to:

• Triage and monitor incoming patients, including critical and fractious cases
• Administer treatments, medications, oxygen therapy, and IV fluids
• Place and maintain catheters, central lines, and urinary catheters
• Perform diagnostic tests (bloodwork, radiographs, ultrasound, CT/MRI)
• Assist in emergency procedures (CPR, thoracocentesis, pericardiocentesis)
• Ensure accurate documentation and communication with both doctors and pet owners
• Provide supportive care for post-surgical and long-term patients
• Maintain and stock emergency equipment and supplies
• Demonstrate calmness, critical thinking, and teamwork under pressure
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience (specialty medicine preferred)
• Strong math skills for drug dosing, CRIs, and invoicing
• Must obtain a California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days (waived with valid CA-RVT license)
• CA-RVT license preferred
