Donor Support Specialist

Responsibilities: As a Donor Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and safe pheresis process for donors. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Setting up the autopheresis machine and monitoring the process for any alarms or signals.
• Disconnecting the donor upon completion and ensuring their well-being throughout the process.
• Utilizing a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to document incidents during the pheresis, including machine alerts, volume variances, and any donor reactions.
• Maintaining accurate records in our electronic donor information management system as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Managing donor flow and alerting supervisors of any issues.
• Ensuring a clean and efficient work environment, stocked with necessary supplies.
• Adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Upholding confidentiality of all personnel and donor information.
• May require cross-training in other areas to meet business needs.
• Performing additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three (3) months of experience in a medical or health-related environment. A basic understanding of math calculations is essential. Bilingual skills may be required based on business needs.

Compensation: The expected base pay for this position is $14.10/hour - $18.35/hour, determined by qualifications, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
