Director of Constituents Giving - Foundation - Full Time Exempt
Position Summary
The Director reports to the President of the Foundation and is responsible for developing and implementing direct marketing and fundraising strategies targeting patients, physicians, staff, and other constituencies. The ultimate goal is to grow the philanthropic support base and increase giving to the Foundation. Additionally, the Director qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors and prospects capable of making leadership annual gifts ($1,000 to $10,000) through a growing leadership annual giving program. The aim is to retain and increase the number of leadership donors and build a pipeline for major gift programs.
Essential Job Functions and Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and solicitation plan using data segmentation, effective messaging, and multi-platform deployment.
- Identify, engage, and solicit individuals for gifts, focusing on leadership annual giving levels.
- Conduct discovery work to identify qualified donors and secure new annual donors of $1,000 or more.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects through solicitation, engagement, and stewardship activities, including visits and calls.
- Create content for solicitations and communications, collaborating with designers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the Special Events team to organize activities supporting the leadership annual giving program.
- Plan and implement direct mail campaigns, leveraging hospital news and innovations.
- Ensure all materials meet USC Arcadia Hospital and Keck Medicine standards and comply with healthcare regulations.
- Analyze donor data for accuracy and to inform strategies for donor retention and upgrade.
- Use data analytics to personalize appeals and improve communication effectiveness.
- Track and report on fundraising progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Develop specific direct mail campaigns for annual events like Year-End and Doctor's Day.
- Supervise the Donor Development/Communications Coordinator.
- Respond to inquiries from donors and constituents about giving opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Work Experience
- Relevant education or related experience as a substitute.
- At least 7+ years of related experience.
Salary Range
The annual salary range is $115,000 - $140,000, considering experience, education, skills, and other factors.
