A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Director of Capital Formation to join their expanding team. In this high-impact role, you will lead the firm's fund raising initiatives and play a critical role in scaling its investor platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional who thrives on building capital strategies, cultivating investor relationships, and driving long-term growth.
Director of Capital Formation Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a proactive and results-driven capital formation strategy to raise capital from RIAs, family offices, and high-net-worth investors
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, presenting investment opportunities and effectively articulating the value proposition of the firm
- Focus on the end-to-end fund-raising process
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, acting as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and updates
- Collaborate closely with the investment team to understand the unique selling points of the firm and effectively communicate these to prospective investors.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact fund-raising efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.
Director of Capital Formation Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a finance/marketing/economics concentration (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Capital formation or Business Development at an alternative investment firm
- In-depth knowledge of the private market space
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated track record of successfully raising capital
- Strong communication skills
