Responsibilities:

As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will oversee the food service program at a single facility, ensuring high standards of food quality, proper inventory management, food safety, and exceptional customer service. This role involves adhering to facility menus, as well as federal, state, and local regulations to consistently deliver top-notch dining services.

• Lead and support the food service team to achieve safety and quality standards.
• Maintain up-to-date records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control checks, and in-service sessions; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as necessary.
• Effectively communicate directives from client managers and building occupants to HCSG staff.
• Utilize protective gear and ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions; report equipment needs promptly.
• Implement infection control measures, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures to uphold a sanitary environment.
• Consistently maintain attendance and punctuality while completing tasks efficiently.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with residents, guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) is required.
• Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, specifically related to food service or restaurant management coursework, is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in large-scale food production/service and personnel supervision is preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must acquire Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Maintain a positive and proactive attitude while effectively collaborating with building occupants and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• The ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, as well as push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds; must be capable of standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable performing routine and repetitive tasks continuously.
• Willingness to work around food and cleaning products is necessary.
• Basic computer skills are required for record maintenance and report completion, including web-based reporting tools.
• Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
• Residency within the service area is required.
