As a fast-growing primary care provider, we are looking for exceptional individuals to join us. The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technician plays a crucial role in performing sonography examinations to evaluate and record vital anatomical and pathological data.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures using a variety of techniques and equipment.
Create quality diagnostic images using Doppler and abdominal ultrasound methods.
Choose appropriate transducers and adjust controls to meet test specifications.
Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, addressing any questions they may have.
Input test data and patient information into our computer systems to maintain accurate records.
Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided biopsies and other invasive procedures.
Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration for accurate results.
Update medical records for precision and credibility.
Utilize age-specific knowledge to cater to patient needs during procedures.
Mentor new staff, cultivating a supportive learning environment.
Ensure a safe atmosphere when administering contrast materials.
Perform quality control procedures to guarantee examination accuracy.
Help transport patients safely to and from their examination rooms.
Adhere to standard precautions by using personal protective equipment.
Prepare preliminary ultrasound reports for physicians.

Additional duties may be assigned based on managerial discretion.

Qualifications:

Current RDMS certification or eligibility with registration needed within one year.
Valid state license/permit for medical imaging practice.
Basic Life Support certification.
Minimum of two years experience as an Imaging Technician.
Strong customer service and effective listening skills.
Critical thinking ability and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent movement and lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program required.
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
At least 6 months of relevant experience post-internship/externship.
A minimum of 2 years of experience post-internship/externship preferred for Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
Must be registered in the specific ultrasound modality performed (e.g., vascular, general).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization required within the first 90 days of employment.
