DevSecOps Engineer with Secret Clearance

Maximus is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal client in maintaining their mission-critical systems that protect our Homeland.

As a vital part of our team, you will integrate robust security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring that our systems are reliable and secure.

Note: This is an on-site position that requires an active Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovate and develop leading-edge solutions through automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and advanced DevSecOps tools.
• Ensure that the infrastructure, services, and applications meet all requirements, including security and performance standards.
• Release production code and develop Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement secure, automated infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Manage containerization and micro-services.
• Integrate automated security controls into the CI/CD process.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Automate incident response and threat detection processes using tools like Splunk and Chef Automate.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in DevSecOps.
• Mentorship and guidance for junior engineers in DevSecOps practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a related field.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen without Dual Citizenship.
• This on-site position is located at a government facility in Annapolis Junction, MD, and requires 5 days on-site each week.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to Annapolis Junction.
• Participation in a rotational on-call schedule is necessary.
• Experience with tools such as Docker, Splunk, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Terraform (IaC) is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Python is also desired.
