The Delivery Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely movement and availability of materials and parts necessary for production. This position involves communicating with various stakeholders to update them on material statuses and expediting rush or overdue orders. The specialist will also be responsible for providing material status updates during production meetings and escalating any existing or potential shortages to management.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and maintain material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between plant and storage locations according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities.
• Read production schedules, critical parts shortage lists, inventory reports, job order, and purchase order schedules to determine the quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Communicate with suppliers primarily in person, as well as via phone and email, about overdue order status and negotiate improvement opportunities to meet need dates.
• Maintain transactions related to inventory and order status manually or using computer software.
• Coordinate with associates to expedite the transfer of materials from stock areas to production areas.
• Verify materials received, including part numbers, and check for discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Perform frequent checks with internal departments and buyers to ensure delivery is possible on the agreed date.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Glastonbury, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
