We’re seeking a skilled Data Pipeline Engineer to design, automate, and monitor end-to-end data pipelines that support our Kubeflow-driven machine learning platform. You'll ensure that our models are trained, deployed, and monitored using reliable and well-governed data.
In this role, you will connect various batch and streaming workflows into Azure DevOps CI/CD, and create real-time health metrics in Prometheus and Grafana dashboards to ensure data availability. You will enable data scientists to focus on their experimentation and drive rapid predictive insights across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement batch and streaming pipelines in Apache Spark, operating on Kubernetes and Kubeflow Pipelines to create feature stores and training datasets.
- Develop high-throughput ETL/ELT jobs utilizing SSIS, SSAS, and T-SQL against MS SQL Server, using Data Vault modeling patterns for efficient audit trails.
- Integrate source control and automate builds/releases through GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for all pipeline elements.
- Implement Prometheus exporters to instrument pipelines, visualizing SLA, latency, and error budget metrics for proactive alerting.
- Create automated data quality and schema drift assessments, reporting anomalies for swift incident response.
- Utilize MLflow for tracking and managing model artifacts, parameters, and metrics to ensure reproducibility and safe rollbacks.
- Collaborate with data scientists to automate model retraining and deployment based on data freshness or concept drift signals within Kubeflow.
- Develop PowerShell and .NET tools to manage job dependencies, handle secrets, and publish telemetry to Azure Monitor.
- Enhance Spark and SQL workloads through optimization strategies like indexing, partitioning, and performance benchmarking in CI pipelines.
- Document data lineage, ownership, and retention policies, making sure pipelines align with PCI/SOX and internal governance regulations.
- Exhibit high-quality work and professionalism in communication, teamwork, and interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Adhere to all local, federal, and state laws, along with Company policies and procedures.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
