The role you'll contribute:

Cytotechnologist performs anatomical pathology procedures as certified. Requires the exercise of independent judgement under minimum supervision. Work customarily involves procedures, cytopreparation and slide screening, which require a high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge, and expertise in certified area.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Performs microscopic examination of both non-gynecologic and gynecologic specimens for evidence of precancerous lesions, cancer, inflammatory processes, organisms and other pathological conditions

• Enters diagnosis into the LIS system

• Tracks daily slide screening and other cytology QA/QC

• Processes gynecologic, non-gynecologic & fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimens

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• 1 years' experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Sciences

• Successful completion of a 12-month Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Cytotechnology program American Society for Clinical Pathology (certificate is required)
