The Cyber Security Support Program (CSSP) Trainer will deliver exceptional training support for Battle Captains and Watch personnel in CSSP certification within a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). This role, managed by DISA J-7, necessitates close collaboration with command center teams. As a CSSP Trainer, you will adeptly communicate CSSP certification requirements to senior command levels, guided by leadership from the J-7 Division Chief, J-772 DISA Chief Training Branch, and Joint Director (JDIR). Self-sufficiency, with minimal oversight, is essential in this expert trainer role for Battle Captains and Watch personnel, driving CSSP certification training initiatives across DISA.
Primary Responsibilities
Champion all facets of CSSP training certification from developmental stages to operational transition.
Create a community of interest among cyber-Watch security trainers, aligning with industry and government CSSP standards.
Scrutinize training curricula, performance goals, and evaluation metrics to enhance Watch Training objectives and ensure officers are equipped with essential skills for mission success.
Contribute to new innovation scopes and high-level requirements, facilitating technology investments for future readiness.
Gather input from cyberspace operations for comprehensive planning across program communities.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts aligned with emerging capabilities and adaptative strategies.
Maintain accurate training databases and records.
Track and report on Agency-level training requirements for the Watch workforce.
Assist in developing training materials and managing certification records and statuses.
Manage tools and reports for the Workforce Improvement Program, particularly regarding certification data.
Establish productive relationships with technology vendors and partners.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant IT technologies across user-facing and back-end infrastructures.
Participate as a subject matter expert in cyber panels, meetings, and working groups related to CSSP engagements.
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Current CSSP certification.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—required to effectively document solutions and gather customer requirements.
Organized and capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team setting.
Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially when managing large datasets.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 12 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience; 4+ additional years may substitute for a degree.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
