CT Technologist - Imaging CAT Scan - Full Time

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist who is ready to take on a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will support fellow imaging technologists and contribute to a seamless patient experience. Flexibility is a must, as you’ll be expected to work various shifts and potentially at different campuses. You will have the opportunity to troubleshoot equipment, participate in quality assurance, and address image processing and archiving issues. We encourage ongoing education and staying current with safety and technical advancements in the field. • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations set by state and federal entities as well as the hospital.
• Execute examinations/procedures to facilitate patient throughput within the scope of your license.
• Exhibit flexibility by working varied shifts and at alternate campuses as needed.
• Verify that completed exams are accurately scanned and stored in PACS.
• Act as a PACS Superuser during downtime and escalate issues to the PACS administrator as required.
• Troubleshoot and escalate any equipment issues to the Director/Manager or Biomedical personnel, providing necessary follow-up.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program or a similarly recognized equivalent.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical environment is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

• Certification in one of the following primary modalities is required:
  • Radiography (R) by ARRT.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB.
• Computed Tomography (CT) certification by ARRT or NMTCB is required within 1 year of hire (CT certification is mandatory upon hire in New Mexico).
• Licensure based on state requirements:
  • Texas: MRT by TMB.
  • Louisiana: LRT (R), (N), or (F) by LSRTBE.
  • New Mexico: CT or FUS by MIRTP NMED.
• BLS certification is required.
