The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Altamonte

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Performs CT imaging procedures. Perform X-Ray and DEXA imaging procedures as needed. Cross-train into MRI during downtime. Maintains records of examinations performed. Assists in Radiology Department as needed. Where appropriate by licensure and cross training, may function as a Radiology technologist. Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital-East Region Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Performs CT imaging procedures.

Performs X-Ray and DEXA imaging procedures as needed.

Cross-train into MRI during downtime.

Maintains records of examinations performed.

Performs basic patient care with scope of practice and to departmental standards.

Where appropriate by licensure and cross training, may function as a Radiology technologist.

Positions patients and equipment, and selects technical factors to produce procedure images and data as needed to meet radiologist standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two years CT experience required.

Must be a graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. / Radiology Technology program.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

Current A.R.R.T(CT) registration and certification

Current State Certified Radiologic Technologist license upon hire

BLS required.
