Join our dedicated team as a Critical Care Respiratory Therapist and make a difference in the lives of patients in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In this vital role, you will provide expert respiratory care to individuals facing severe breathing challenges and life-threatening conditions, ensuring they receive the best possible interventions for optimal recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patients with acute or chronic respiratory issues within the ICU setting.
- Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and advanced life-support systems for critically ill patients.
- Administer prescribed aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and other essential respiratory treatments.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing, to assess lung function.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to create and implement personalized care plans.
- Act promptly in emergency situations, such as code blue events, to provide critical airway management and support.
- Maintain meticulous patient records and document all treatments and progress in alignment with hospital policies.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment to ensure seamless transitions out of the ICU.
