The Float Pool is a high-level performing department staffed with healthcare professionals who are equipped to work in various areas of the hospital. These highly trained professionals working in the Float Pool support the organization by having the ability to care for multiple specialty patient populations.

In this float pool you must have experience in other units, as you will float to other units such as Adult Med/Surg, Tele & PCU, Adult ICU & PCU, Women's Services, Neonatal, Peds & PICU, Emergency Services.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

License/Certification Requirements:

• California State RN License required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Certificates by ARC or AHA are required for certain units and for cross training consideration. (cross-training is based on organizational staffing needs)
• RN III: Specialty certification by the ANCC is required. CCRN, CEN and PCCN specialty certificates are high preferred. (external applicants may obtain within 1 year of hire)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years recent RN experience in specialty. (Minimum 3-years recent acute RN experience for RN II)
• Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in ICU plus 3 years in one or more other specialty areas listed below preferred

Experience in two or more nursing specialty areas:

1. Adult Med/Surg, Tele & PCU
2. Adult ICU & PCU
3. Women's Services
4. Neonatal, Peds & PICU
5. Emergency Services

• Must be a Clinical Nurse II at CSMC for at least one (1) year to be promoted within the clinical ladder.

Working Title: Registered Nurse - Cedars Sinai ICU Float Pool - 12-Hour - Full Time - Nights - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus!
