Job Overview:
As a Controls Technician I, you will be an integral part of the CEG Controls Team, providing crucial electrical controls and programming support for manufacturing operations across the Marvin family of brands. You will collaborate closely with teams in manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and facilities to design and implement cutting-edge automation technologies in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in PLC programming to develop operational sequences for manufacturing equipment.
- Offer technical support for electrical controls and related programming technologies.
- Maintain an updated list of control components and proactively manage the risks associated with outdated or obsolete parts.
- Assemble electrical control panels based on electrical schematics, control diagrams, and relevant standards.
- Complete project assignments on time and within specifications.
- Support project completion, whether independently or as part of a team effort.
- Utilize excellent communication and problem-solving skills to contribute to the controls team effectively.
Qualifications:
You may be the right fit if you have:
- A field-related 2-year degree.
- Understanding of programming in ladder logic, function blocks, and object-oriented languages.
- The ability to interpret and understand electrical control schematics and documentation.
- Proficiency in using and interpreting electrical testing instruments.
- A commitment to staying updated on industry developments through ongoing education.
