Contract Pharmacist

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of prescriptions. You will review prescriptions for data quality, checking incoming and outgoing prescriptions to ensure that all clinical, quality, and drug utilization reviews are correct. Your role will involve verifying appropriate medication, dosage, strength, directions, quantity, safety, and patient information.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify incoming and outgoing prescriptions for accuracy and quality.
• Conduct clinical, quality, and drug utilization reviews.
• Ensure appropriate medication, dosage, strength, directions, quantity, safety, and patient information are correct.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls from doctor's offices and provider offices regarding prescription inquiries.
• Communicate with pharmacies or members through outbound calls.
• Provide patient and family education on medication over the phone.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy experience
• PharmD degree
• Proficient in data entry
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in retail pharmacy
• Knowledge of prior authorization processes
• Long-term care (LTC) experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office

This is a Contract position based out of Clearwater, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
