Computer Aided Design Technician (CAD Tech)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking an experienced CAD Technician for our client, a key partner in the pharmaceutical sector, based in Easthampton, MA. This CAD Technician will create detailed CAD drawings of products with client-requested modifications and create engineering packages for manufacturing. This includes routing sheets, bill of materials, engineering change orders, quality control documents, and assembly instructions. Additional responsibilities include:

• Create and edit blueprints, routing sheets, and other technical drawings required for the manufacturing process.

• Translate initial ideas into detailed designs using specialized CAD software.

• Work with other engineers, operations staff, and other stakeholders to gather and organize technical information.

• Update existing documentation and improve accuracy and usability.

• Ensure documents adhere to company style guidelines and technical standards.

• Resolve system and design issues by resolving documentation gaps.

• Reviews and verifies project requirements for completeness, format, and compliance.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with 3D CAD design software (ideally SOLIDWORKS)

• Prior experience working in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or GMP facility.

• High attention to detail

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Experience in the life science, pharmaceutical or medical device industry

Compensation:

$70,000 to $85,000 per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
