Location: UCHealth Emergency Powers, US:CO:Colorado Springs

Department: Powers ED

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $36.19 - $54.28/hour. Pay is based on the applicant's relevant experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure as required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum Experience: None Required.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Registered Radiologic Technologist
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card required before start date. BLS or CPR card must be valid for at least sixty days after hire.

CT Technologist Responsibilities:

• Reviewing patient history and initiating Computed Tomography images per physician orders, ensuring thorough patient education for better cooperation.
• Safely administering contrast media or imaging medications while monitoring patient status.
• Actively responding to and reporting any changes in patient conditions.
• Implementing techniques to optimize image clarity, conducting quality control, and ensuring equipment functionality according to established Radiology best practices.
• Performing 3-D post processing and accurately entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results.
