ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE:
Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations across Arkansas and is affiliated with Urgent Team, a leading independent provider of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers offer a wide range of services including injury and illness treatment, occupational health, and wellness care, and are open seven days a week.

YOUR ROLE:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play an essential role in patient care. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, supporting medical staff, and maintaining accurate patient records. Our full-time team members work a consistent 36-40 hour/week schedule with 12-hour weekday shifts and a rotation of every-other weekend.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
• Document patient health histories, noting any abnormalities for the physician.
• Provide instructions for sample collections and obtain vital signs.
• Assist physicians during various examinations, treatments, and tests.
• Administer prescribed medications and observe patient reactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate patient chart entries and maintain records.
• Schedule tests and treatments, and arrange referrals as needed.
• Collect and document lab specimens and follow up on test results.
• Notify patients regarding results and upcoming appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms.
• Adhere to infection control policies and manage hazardous materials.
• Educate patients and families about medications and discharge instructions.
• Assist providers with physical exams and preparation for procedures.
• Manage pharmacy orders and monitor medication inventory.
• Screen phone calls and triage patients for effective departmental flow.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting. Current state LPN licensure is a must.
