Launch your career in Facilities Management at JLL! We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Painter to join our integrated facilities management team at a client site to provide general handyman tasks and labor tasks associates with event set-up and tear-down.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Reporting to: Facilities Manager
Estimated compensation for this position is: $19.66 - $28.51 an hour paid bi-weekly
The compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
What this job involves:
The Maintenance Technician supports the operation and maintenance process to specialize in drywall repair and painting in our clients building. This position will also assist other team members in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as, independently performing defined tasks, including event support.
What your day-to-day will look like:

• Performs preventive maintenance and repair work orders, primarily drywall repair and painting
• Conducts facility inspections and reports on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations; Identifies safety hazards and proposes elimination methods
• Maintains and repairs building equipment as directed by operations team
• Submits P-card receipts and updates work order statuses in real time
• Utilizes CMMS systems (e.g., Corrigo Facility) for all work performed
• Organizes, moves and repairs office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested and event-related items for special events; including setup and removal

Physical Work Requirements & Conditions:

• Lifting to 80 lbs.
• Working from heights.
• Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
• Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
• Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant commercial building maintenance experience
• 1+ years of drywall repair and painting experience in commercial buildings
• Proficient in MS Office with strong computer skills
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of safe and proper use of ladders, lifts, basic hand tools, safety equipment, and fire extinguishers
• Strong organizational skills and collaborative work style

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Building Management System (BMS)
