Clinical Project Manager Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Project Manager Assistant to join our team. This role supports the management of clinical trials by performing various research and administrative tasks. The role is integral to the ongoing success of our studies and offers opportunities for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of independent duties involved in the collection, documentation, and compilation of clinical research images and data under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Assign reader grading tasks, file study documents, distribute site initiation forms, track certification of site technicians, and track submission of images and functional tests for grading.
- Communicate with sites, sponsors, and CROs regarding study specifics and image issues.
- Assist with study startup and site certification activities.
- Track, confirm, and document receipt of all images and functional test materials received.
- Manage certification reader assignments and assist with all other reader assignments as needed.
- Respond to data queries as appropriate.
- Prepare materials for and perform data QC Review, including reconciliation and reconciliation verification.
- Perform data entry, source document verification, filing, and other clerical duties as requested.
- Assist all staff members as necessary to meet the needs of various studies.
- Attend group meetings and study conference calls as needed.
- Provide coverage for assigned studies when PM is out of the office or unavailable, which may include time-sensitive activities such as patient screening eligibilities and sponsor requests.
- Help train new team members.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years' experience within clinical research is highly preferred, but not required.
- 2+ years of experience with administrative support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), good judgment, flexibility, adaptability, ability to learn new programs, organization, and ability to work under tight deadlines are required.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments, be flexible when work assignments change, and enjoy and effectively multitask is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in data entry and source document verification.
- Capability to assist with quality control activities such as reconciliation and reconciliation verification.
Work Environment
The work environment is 100% remote, although candidates must be located in North Carolina and be close enough to the campus for onsite training or occasional in-person meetings. The role offers a favorable work-life balance with a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The position begins as a 6-month contract with the opportunity to apply for permanent vacancies. Career progression is actively encouraged, with opportunities for advancement to Project Manager roles over time.
Job Type & Location
This is a contract position based out of Durham, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.61 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
