Responsibilities
The Clinical Leadership Physician will oversee the clinical performance of the pod team members, ensuring accurate diagnoses, quality care, patient experience, safety, and productivity. This role requires close collaboration with all clinical team members in the pod and will also serve as the supervising physician for the associated advanced practice providers (APPs). You will work in a dyad partnership with the Market Manager and the market office staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the supervising physician for assigned APPs, maintaining compliance with state regulations on collaborative practice agreements.
- Participate in at least one ride along per quarter with each collaborative APP.
- Conduct complex patient visits when needed.
- Work collaboratively with the entire pod clinical team including Community Health Workers, Medical Social Workers, and Care Managers.
- Lead clinical development initiatives for APPs focusing on evidence-based care.
- Conduct high-risk huddles and document care plans involving all team members.
- Promote a team-based culture and collaboration among clinical staff.
- Complete 10 chart audits monthly or as necessary to meet state regulations.
- Be a go-to resource for clinical inquiries and difficult conversations with patients and families.
- Regularly conduct panel reviews with APPs and monitor quality metrics.
- Collaborate with Site Medical Directors to enhance clinician performance and implementation of countermeasures when necessary.
- Work with the Regional Medical Director to find opportunities for care improvement.
- Assist with patient inquiries, complaints, and requests within the pod.
- Help providers achieve greater EMR efficiency.
- Engage in patient care for your assigned panel and handle high-risk cases.
- Lead educational sessions focused on accurate diagnosis and management of chronic conditions.
- Participate in compliance and HR resolutions.
- Handle performance reviews and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Regional Medical Director as it pertains to pod performance and outcomes.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- MD or DO degree with a valid medical license
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Active CPR Certification
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with HarmonyCares Medical Group
- Board Certification
