Clinical Application Support Internship Summer 2026

IT Intern

This is a full time, 14-week hybrid summer internship that will occur during one of the below time frames:

1. May 4 August 7, 2026
2. May 11 August 14, 2026
3. May 18 August 21, 2026

Open to hiring candidates that reside anywhere near our three primary regions:

• East (Southfield)
• South (St. Joseph)

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Intern to join our Clinical Application Support team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various exciting projects focused on Clinical Communications applications, Clinical Revenue Cycle applications, and queue management systems.

As an integral part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience with the complete lifecycle of application onboarding. This journey begins with understanding customer requests and encompasses all phases of implementation and ongoing support.

Essential Functions

• Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
• Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
• May analyzes department processes and other Corewell Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
• Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Currently enrolled in high school or have graduated from high school, or are enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the area of accountability.
• May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
