Job Description

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Los Angeles, California October 29-30. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday, interviews will take place at either our Los Angeles or Orange office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer I , to be based in our Orange, CA office. This engineer will be supporting our aviation and airport design business unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  n
n
• n

  Builds analytic and design skills.

  n
n
• n

  Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  n
n
• n

  Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  n
n
• n

  Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

n
• n

  BS Civil Engineering or similar field

  n
n
• n

  Previous professional experience using ACAD and/or Civil 3D

  n
n
• n

  AviPlan software experience

  n
n
• n

  Field construction experience

  n
n
• n

  Ability to be on-site at airports with clear security background

  n

• n

  EIT/FE with the ability to obtain PE within 2 years

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $68,000.00 - $85,000.00.
