Position Overview:
As a Surgical Scrub Technician, you will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical personnel to ensure procedures run smoothly. You'll prepare the operating room, organize surgical instruments, and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Job Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgeries and ensure all equipment is sterile and operational
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
Maintain the sterile field and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
Monitor inventory and ensure surgical tools are properly sterilized and available
Assist in patient preparation including positioning and draping
Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and instrument use
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and anesthesiology teams for optimal surgical outcomes

Education and Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Prior experience in an operating room setting preferred
