Department Details

As part of an interdisciplinary long-term care team, you will work alongside experienced therapy professionals in the beautiful northern Minnesota area, providing therapy services in long-term care settings in Bemidji and Blackduck.

Job Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will:

• Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises as outlined in their treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Help improve patients' quality of life by enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.
• Monitor, document, and provide ongoing communication about patient progress and outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify therapeutic activities to align with patient goals and clinical guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to accepted clinical practice standards while delivering compassionate care.
• Engage in additional related duties as requested to support team goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Physical ability to assist with patient transfers, activities of daily living (ADLs), and gait training.
• Current Minnesota licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Recommended affiliation with the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Certification in basic life support (CPR) is required.
