Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role as a caregiver in our long-term care facility, providing compassionate, resident-centered care. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will assist residents with their daily living activities while adhering to care plans that ensure both their physical and psychological well-being.

• Provide essential care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens.
• Assist residents with mobility, using proper techniques and equipment for safe transfers.
• Help prepare meals and create a positive dining experience, assisting residents as necessary.
• Document resident care, behavior, and dietary intake accurately.
• Engage residents in wellness and recreational programs to enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old; prior experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, or must obtain within four months of employment.
• Commitment to annual continuing education credits (12 hours minimum).
• Some positions may require a valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report.
