Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents during your scheduled shifts in our long-term care facility. You will support their daily living needs and well-being, guided by a registered nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include:

Delivering personalized nursing care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Monitoring vital signs and documenting resident interactions and care outcomes.
Helping residents with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and walking.
Preparing meals and creating a positive dining experience for residents.
Supporting residents with psychosocial needs and daily activities.
Maintaining a clean and safe living environment through housekeeping and laundry duties.
Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

As part of our nursing team, you'll be expected to adhere to infection control protocols and communicate any changes in resident health status to the nursing staff.

Qualifications

We're looking for passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be at least 16 years old.
CNA certification required; candidates must possess or be enrolled in a certification program within four months of starting.
Prior experience in long-term care is advantageous.
Completion of ongoing education with a minimum of 12 hours annually.

Other requirements may include being registered as an Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) and possibly fulfilling the role of a driver within the organization.
