Shifts are from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) will provide compassionate care to residents in long-term care. As a vital part of the nursing team, you will assist in meeting the physical and emotional needs of residents through:

• Delivering resident-centered nursing care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, providing emotional support, and helping with personal needs.
• Assisting residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning, using safe techniques.
• Creating a positive dining experience, helping residents with meals and promoting hydration.
• Documenting care provided and communicating any changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse.
• Maintaining cleanliness and assisting with laundry services in residents’ living areas.
• Promoting participation in wellness and recreational programs, and supporting a friendly environment.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years old; prior experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required; certification must be obtained within four months of hire if not currently certified.
• Completion of yearly competency testing and ongoing education is necessary, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually.
• Registry certification may be needed depending on state requirements.
