We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Centralized Scheduling Specialist to be an essential part of our team. In this role, you will follow established protocols and work collaboratively with the care team to uphold the organization's vision and mission, ensure exceptional service delivery, and support financial, clinical, and service goals.
Working Schedule: This position involves working a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, along with rotating Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Specific schedules will be determined by the supervisor upon hiring.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Gathering accurate and updated patient information, including names, addresses, and insurance details.
- Conducting insurance verification on the date of service.
- Obtaining patient signatures on required documents.
- Filing, faxing, and maintaining medical records.
- Confirming and scheduling appointments efficiently.
- Following the Payment Security protocols in accordance with Optum Medical guidelines.
- Promptly performing referral documentation.
- Following up on patient services with courtesy and efficiency, including scheduling specialist appointments.
- Adhering to standards set by Sparq regarding Optum Employee Policies.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve collective goals.
- Thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ensuring continuity of care through advanced scheduling and tracking systems.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, team members, and other health care professionals through documentation and case conferences.
- Complying with administrative policies to assure high-quality care.
- Demonstrating efficiency and precision in managing documents and electronic charting.
- Maintaining awareness of current medical requirements relevant to your role, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Cross-training and providing support in other locations as necessary.
- Completing additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare-related experience.
- Intermediate computer skills, including multitasking in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Willingness to travel to different locations as needed for coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting, handling scheduling, patient check-ins/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and record maintenance.
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC).
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
