Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused CDL Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. This position will be based at Anson County Landfill in Polkton, NC. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
• Read route sheets and service each customer indicated on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids and safety equipment.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading, often without assistance.
• Use hydraulic hand controls to manage refuse lifting/loading and dispose of waste at designated facilities.
• Engage courteously with customers and complete other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Daily commute to Anson County Landfill in Polkton, NC.
• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Maintain a clean safety and driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, effectively climb in and out of the truck cab, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and grasp.
