As a Catering Assistant, you will be the face of our restaurant and will be expected to uphold these values as you extend the "Chick-fil-A Experience" to our off-site guests. Catering Assistants are expected to assist in delivering meals to individual guests and companies through both Catering and occasional hosting of Marketing events in the Fort Wayne community ranging from assisting with Spirit Nights at the store, social media, and community outreach. With being a Catering Assistant, you have the unique ability to be an advocate for our restaurant and its values.

We are looking for professional, courteous, hardworking, and high-energy individuals who are flexible, and willing to go the extra mile to connect with our guests outside of the restaurant as a representative of our brand. A successful Catering Assistant will be able to work efficiently both individually and within a team, follow all proper procedures, and extend Chick-fil-A's genuine hospitality to every guest and individual they interact with both within and outside of the restaurant.

Catering Assistant Job Description:

We are looking for qualified individuals to take over our food service duties at various indoor and outdoor events. The individuals working with us must be able to prepare food in a clean kitchen area and comply with all the health and safety regulations while doing so. They must also be able to transport food to and from various venues, as well as set up at the guest's request. Outstanding customer service is a must, so the individuals we hire must always meet all our customers' needs and expectations, as well as attend to all the potential customer complaints in a professional and friendly manner.

Responsibilities of Catering Assistants:

• Providing suggestions for menus according to customer needs and expectations
• Preparing food in a healthy and clean kitchen environment
• Preparing orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Consulting with customers about any potential changes before every event
• Transporting food to and from venues
• Decorating food-serving areas at the venues when requested
• Serving food and drinks at our Additional Distribution Points
• Making sure the supplies are well-organized and stocked
• Knowing all the food ingredients
• Providing excellent customer service

Catering Assistant Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age upon your hiring date
• Must have had a driver's license for at least 2 years prior to your hiring date
• Excellent food preparation skills
• Catering experience is a plus
• A certificate in food safety is a plus
• Great attention to detail
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• A friendly and positive attitude
