Category Buyer

We are looking for a full-time Category Buyer to join our Purchasing team at our Distribution Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing product lines to support our growing retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Forecast product needs based on sales and production trends and seasonality to support retail and manufacturing operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory/warehouse teams to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Track order status and resolve any issues related to delivery delays, product quality, or pricing discrepancies.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing and Operations to align product offerings with customer demand.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
