Join our team as a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist dedicated to performing high-quality diagnostic medical imaging procedures in the Department of Ultrasound. As part of our dynamic team, you will assist Radiologists using advanced diagnostic ultrasound equipment in a compassionate and patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including comprehensive vascular studies with minimal supervision.
• Document calibration procedures for diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Coordinate and organize workflows for emergent cases, making timely decisions to enhance productivity.
• Assist Radiologists during invasive biopsy procedures by accurately identifying targeted areas with ultrasound technology.
• Ensure all vascular ultrasound exams are conducted as requested, maintaining high standards of care.
• Accurately manage billing and ensure all procedure charges are submitted at the end of each day.
• Maintain an adequately supplied ultrasound room; report any equipment issues for prompt resolution.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient care responsibilities, tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Adapt patient assessments to meet their unique physical, psychosocial, and developmental requirements.

• Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures set by relevant agencies and the hospital.
• Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences, Ultrasound Technology, or an equivalent program.

Experience

• Preferred: One (1) year of clinical ultrasound experience.
• Experience should include: Carotid Artery exams, Upper and Lower Extremity vascular studies, Abdominal Aorta assessments, and knowledge of plethysmography for circulation evaluation.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required.
• Certification from recognized ultrasound credentialing bodies (ARDMS, CCI, or others) is mandatory.
• BLS certification is required.
