Join our dynamic team at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, located at 1201 Grand, St. Louis, MO. We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Lab Specialist who is passionate about making a difference in patients' lives.
Job Highlights:
- Sign-on Bonus: $20,000 with 1 year of experience ($15,000 with less than 1 year) - Paid in full on your first paycheck!
- Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Competitive pay starting at $30.91 per hour, with daily pay options available.
- Relocation assistance available for qualifying candidates.
Job Summary: As a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Specialist, you will assist with procedures aimed at analyzing, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical histories, positioning patients, and preparing examination sites.
- Accurately interpret, describe, and report test results, ensuring to address any recording errors promptly.
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures, swiftly reporting any abnormal findings.
- Maintain and prepare lab equipment, ensuring all supplies are ready and functional for use.
- Assist in keeping the department clean, organized, and safe for all patients and staff.
- Perform point-of-care testing adhering to established policies and procedures when necessary.
- Stay alert and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Education Requirements: Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
Experience Requirements: No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements:
- Constantly stand and walk, with frequent lifting and moving of patients and equipment.
- Utilize vision and hearing for effective communication and observations.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification is required.
