Cardiac Care Technician

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $20.87 - $27.13/hour. Pay is based on relevant experience.

Summary:

Join our dedicated team as a Cardiac Care Technician, where you will play a vital role in patient care by performing essential tasks such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress testing, and monitoring cardiac activity. Your efforts will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certification as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT), EKG Technician (CET), or equivalent within one year of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities:

• Review provider orders and conduct tests, ensuring patients understand the procedures and equipment used.
• Set up equipment, position patients accurately, and analyze testing results for quality.
• Monitor patient conditions, taking appropriate actions based on any changes or adverse results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning well.
• Utilize critical thinking and judgment to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
