Our client, a manufacturing and industrial services provider, is seeking a 3rd Shift (Overnights) Carbide Welding Operator to join their team. As a Carbide Welding Operator, you will be part of the Carbide Tip Department supporting production and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of Carbide experience and be willing to learn additional skills.

Location: New Britain, CT

Pay Range: Negotiable

Shift: Monday Friday, 5:00 PM 5:00 AM

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate automatic welding machines to weld carbide tips onto pre-milled band stock materials.
• Adjust and align equipment, including electrodes, guides, and grinding wheels, to ensure precise welding and finishing.
• Monitor machine operation, perform inspections using optical comparators and micrometers to verify dimensions and profile accuracy.
• Maintain records of production counts, inspection results, and equipment checks.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure continuous operation and safety.

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and measurement tools such as micrometers.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine operation environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull weights between 5 to 25 pounds.
