We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing procurement processes within the paper and packaging industry.
Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within the packaging industry.
Experience in inside sales in the packaging sector.
Proficiency in using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Support the procurement process for packaging materials, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes to secure optimal pricing and timing, ensuring all purchased materials comply with company standards and industry specifications.
Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to negotiate the best pricing and terms.
Accurately create and process purchase orders while adhering to company policies and budget constraints.
Coordinate and follow up with suppliers to monitor order status, expedite deliveries, and address any issues or discrepancies.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting periodic checks, and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure adequate supply.
Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management, including regular stock counts and reconciliations.
