Box Truck Technician

Shift: M-F (7A-6P) and flexible to work Saturdays

As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that utility trucks are safe and ready for use. This role involves washing utility trucks, running diagnostics, and conducting thorough inspections to maintain road safety. You will also be responsible for diagnosing issues on both customer and company-owned equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and prepare utility trucks for operation.
• Run diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect components to ensure maximum parts reuse to control repair costs.
• Complete documentation using appropriate software to track repairs and repair times.
• Monitor job expenses against repair estimates and communicate any cost overruns to supervisors before job completion.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with utility and bucket trucks.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and upfitted vehicles.
• Strong skills in automotive repair and technology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Ability to document repairs and manage repair times efficiently.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
