Bookkeeper (Quickbooks)

Accounts Receivable Specialist

This position involves preparing and maintaining accounting records, verifying financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Complete general accounting practices.
• Accurately complete entries in QuickBooks.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and assist with Accounts Payable as needed.
• Research discrepancies in numbers and implement corrections.
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls.
• Assist with invoicing and purchasing.
• Submit Purchase Orders.
• Provide support with administrative duties such as answering phones and guest check-in as needed.
• Perform filing duties.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• High mathematical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a small office with a collaborative atmosphere where everyone covers for their partners, with fewer than five people in the office. Typical hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
