Sodexo HTM has an exciting opportunity for eager and willing candidates who are interested in joining the healthcare profession for Elyria Medical Center located in Elyria, OH.

Sodexo's BMET Trainee Program offers a unique opportunity to launch a career in the Biomedical Technology field through a structured combination of on-the-job experience and formal training. This comprehensive program is designed to build foundational skills and technical knowledge essential for success in the healthcare technology industry. Over the course of 18 months, trainees will gain hands-on experience supporting senior technicians, performing incoming and routine inspections, scheduling equipment maintenance, and conducting minor troubleshooting. Upon successful completion of the program and earning the CABT Certificationan industry-recognized credential issued by AAMIparticipants will be well-prepared for continued growth within the Biomedical Technology profession.

What You'll Do

1. Be assigned a dedicated mentor and training partner
2. Receive formal training on medical terminology, anatomy, IT/cybersecurity, test equipment, electrical systems, and basic biomed/equipment repair
3. Gain on-the-job training and experience in a hospital setting
4. Learn how to serve in an entry-level clinical equipment support technician role
5. Earn as you learn with a guaranteed wage increase as you develop new skills

What You Bring

• Recent graduation or certification in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field
• Strong interest in developing a long-term career in Healthcare Technology Management
• Eagerness to learn and apply technical knowledge in a real-world healthcare setting
• Willingness to be mentored and collaborate with experienced HTM professionals
• Basic understanding of electronics, instrumentation, or medical devices (a plus, but not required)
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and service-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
