Drafter/Designer

We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Designer who will be responsible for interpreting and analyzing drawings and standards to solve engineering problems. This role requires a strong team commitment and motivation to support projects in power generation, industrial, and commercial engineering and design. You will ensure that engineering designs comply with customer policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulatory codes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and standards to analyze and solve problems.
• Utilize computer applications such as AutoCAD and Revit effectively.
• Possess a strong team commitment and maintain a positive outlook and strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Assist in projects supporting power generation, industrial, or commercial engineering and design.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with customer policies, procedures, and regulatory codes.
• Prepare drawings, permits, and other relevant documents, and document projects in computerized systems.
• Work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed to meet engineering needs.
• Travel locally to client sites as necessary.

Essential Skills

• 3-15 years of experience with AutoCAD.
• Ability to utilize AutoCAD or Revit.
• Experience in MEP design for power, industrial, or commercial projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Experience in design and mechanical drafting.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work setup with two days a week in the office (Monday and Tuesday) and two days a month in the field. You will be based either in the Cranberry or Homestead office. The role requires local travel, approximately two times a month, to client sites. Fieldwork offers a per diem of $50 per day. This is a great opportunity to support a large and local utility on-site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
