Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced full time Associate Litigation Attorney to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and diverse legal cases in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting evidence and arguments as necessary.
• Conduct legal research to develop case strategies and anticipate legal issues.
• Draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal correspondence.
• Conduct and manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes favorably.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of laws, court decisions, and legal trends that may impact our clients.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
• Provide legal advice to clients, explaining legal rights, obligations, and potential outcomes.
• Participate in firm marketing and client development activities.
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the IL state Bar.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a proven track record of success in trials.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients and interact with opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
• Proficiency in using legal research databases and other legal software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Experience in insurance coverage would be a plus.
