Associate Data Engineer (Python and APIs)

Position Summary

The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain data ingestion pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging tools like BigQuery and Cloud Composer to ensure efficient and scalable data processing workflows. They will routinely engage in automation programming using Python, SQL, or similar languages to streamline workflows and optimize data movement. Additionally, the role involves providing technical customer support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure high-quality data delivery and service support.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on data ingestion and pipeline development

• Proficiency in SQL programming and Python or similar languages

• Hands-on experience working on public cloud, ideally GCP, and open to AWS or Azure experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

• Experience connecting to, and consuming data from, mainstream DBMS'

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery and Cloud Composer

• Google Certified Professional Data Engineer

• Built and consumed APIs

• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and orchestration

• Experience with automation frameworks and scripting

• Familiar with schema design and warehousing concepts

• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide customer support

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,980.00 - $135,960.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
