Associate Director - Special Projects
Location: New Providence, NJ.
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Associate Director/Program Manager to join our team! This role is responsible for general management of Government Contracting business with the Department of Defense and specifically the United States Space Force. The manager would be solely responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the gas separation and analysis laboratory.

Salary Range- $122,025 - $178,970 (commensurate with industry experience)
What you will be doing:
• Manages of a team of engineering professionals and lab technicians to accomplish business objectives and meet customer needs.
• Directs day to day operations activities and sets appropriate key performance indicators for personnel.
Management of Analysis Laboratories
• Ensures all laboratory activities are conducted according to company safety policies and established standard operating procedures.
• Ensures all samples are accurately logged, analyzed, and reported in a timely manner in accordance with customer requirements.
• Ensures all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and operating according to established Quality Assurance protocols.
• Ensures all laboratory personnel are properly trained in the operation of assigned equipment.
• Ensures all documentation pertaining to lab operations is developed and maintained.
Financial and Business Development
• Works with the finance controller to develop and manage annual financial budgets (P/L).
• Jointly with the customer identifies new revenue-generating opportunities and develops proposals to address opportunities.
• While meeting or exceeding the specifications, employs a continuous improvement mentality to cut costs, improve automation, decrease cycle times, and increase data accuracy.
Equipment Upgrades/Development
• Ensures all laboratory equipment is up-to-date and utilizes, where justified, modern technology.
• Develops proposals for equipment upgrades, designs and procures as requested.
• Ensures all funded projects are planned, managed and executed in a manner to ensure delivery of on-time and high-quality products.
Customer Interface
• Acts as the primary point of contact for the government customer.
• Develops customer required reports at the prescribed frequency.
• Works with the customer to identify needs and implements plans to address them.
• Proposes and implements new or upgraded equipment for increased productivity and/or quality.
• Attends and participates in customer sponsored meetings (typically 2-3 per year).
Compliance with Government Regulations
• Ensures Industrial Security Program is compliant with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
• Ensures Government Property is inventoried, documented and maintained in accordance with all government regulations.
• Ensures all financial aspects such as accounting, purchasing, timekeeping, and pricing are conducted in a manner approved by the Defense Contracting Audit Agency (DCAA).
• Maintain radiation safety program in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).
• Works with government representatives to complete compliance audits as required in the above programs.

• Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific Discipline such as Chemistry, Engineering, or Physics.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10 years in technical management.

Other qualifications
o Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Level security clearance.
o Knowledge of and experience in managing government or commercial contracts.
o Basic understanding of cryogenics, radiochemistry concepts, gas handling and vacuum systems preferred.
o Proficiency with MS Office applications.
