Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology

The position is in the Music department, located in the College of Fine Arts on the Main campus in Albuquerque, NM. It is a tenure/tenure-track faculty position.

Curriculum Vitae detailing all academic and professional experience. 3. Teaching Statement that provides evidence of a strong teaching record and a demonstrated commitment to music- and sound-centered education, as well as mentoring students from all demographic and educational backgrounds. This statement should also specify courses previously taught along with proposed courses within the candidate's areas of expertise, each accompanied by a brief description. 4. Research Statement outlining the candidate's current research pursuits, areas of expertise, methodological approaches, geographical areas of interest, and language competency, and presenting a plan for future research activity appropriate to a tenure-track position at an R1 institution. 5. Collaboration, Collegiality, and Service Statement providing evidence of the ability to work collaboratively and collegially, engage in teamwork, and undertake service roles within a multifaceted academic community. This statement should also attest to a demonstrated commitment to cultivating an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities. 6.
