ASSISTANT FINANCE OFFICER

Our client, a dedicated public health organization, is seeking a ASSISTANT FINANCE OFFICER to join their team. As an ASSISTANT FINANCE OFFICER, you will be part of the Financial Services supporting the Administrative Services Division. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Assistant Finance Officer
Employment Type: Temporary
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Compensation: $38–$40 per hour (commensurate with experience)

What's the Job?

• Oversee and coordinate financial functions within the department, including accounting, budgeting, and fiscal operations.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of financial reports and documents.
• Support the establishment and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with various officials and team members to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.

What's Needed?

• Master's degree in Accounting plus four years of accounting experience (governmental experience preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus five years of accounting experience (governmental experience preferred).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma driver license required.
